5:30 Doors Open and Sacred Fire Burning
Please join us at a Sacred Fire for prayer and reflection. Community members can offer tobacco to the fire, if they wish, or can be near the fire and have silent reflection. You are welcome to bring blankets.
6:00 Gathering
Remarks from Kookum Gayle, followed a pipe ceremony led by Kookum Charlotte. Folks are encouraged to bring their drums for the Travelling Song. Smudge will be available, as well as mental health supports.
6:45 Feast
The feast will have meat, vegan and gluten-friendly options. Bus tickets are available at closing around 7:45.
This event has been collaboratively organized by transgender community members, Bahaghari Pride, GDAAY, Klinic Community Health Centre, Manitoba Moon Voices, Rainbow Resource Centre, Sunshine House, Trans Manitoba, and Two-Spirit Manitoba.
