Wide body fun for #littlecaroftheday 315 with this Greenwood Corvette. I love the over-the-top fenders on this model, all the better to squeeze some big fat tires under. We saw an irl version of the street car on our recent trip to Barrett-Jackson.

The last of the Goats for #littlecaroftheday 1230. While this Pontiac GTO is based on a Holden, I think it was a fitting choice to send off the final generation in modern muscle style. This Hot Wheels is modified for drag racing and has some nice stripes with callback “Super Duty” graphics.

#littlecaroftheday 85 has about as much horsepower as the real thing. The real Audi Avus Quattro concept is famous for its flowing lines, polished aluminum body, and wooden W12 engine. This classic Hot Wheels version comes in a flashy lipstick red with sick 90s saw blade wheels instead.

Racing into the new week with #littlecaroftheday 662, this Ford GT LM, decked out in Sparco blue and white. Thi one also features a set of crisp white “PR5” wheels, which are some of my favorites.

Apparently yesterday’s entry broke the repost chain due to bad signal but we’re back on track with #littlecaroftheday 1131, and Advan S13. This is a fun cast and a nice compliment to the notchback Silvia that came out around the same time, and the classic livery looks great on this example.

A car with fittingly Florida vibe for #littlecaroftheday Number 826 is the LM002. This Hot Wheels premium is part of a Fast and Furious set, but the blacked out look gives it a general new-money look with old school taste.

Ford Friday for #littlecaroftheday 647. This ‘99 Mustang GT has some fun stripes and cool blue windows that give it a bit of a Hot Wheels PD look at first glance. It’s also a pretty faithful cast for one that’s a little older but unfortunately the only one I have in the collection (so far).

Late but still made it for #littlecaroftheday number 512 is this 250 GTO. I did spend today looking at a lot of cool and collectible cars but nothing quite as expensive as one of these.

We have a Parsh for #littlecaroftheday 1305. This snazzy yellow Cayman is a pretty faithful and detailed rendition for a mainline. This first gen 987’s irl counterparts will likely just get more collectible as one of the last mid-engine sports cars, especially with natural aspiration and manuals

#littlecaroftheday 752 is a new Civic. This Matchbox rendition comes in a simple but pleasant blue and has interesting six spoke wheels that have a sort of iridescent finish that evokes a TE37, giving this cast a little tastefully modded vibe.

Feeling Triangular this Monday with the #littlecaroftheday number 923. This Mazda Cosmo is stylish in that classic white. This cast is from one of the Japanese Classics series of premiums and of course features Real Riders wrapped around a very cool chrome steel wheels for a nice period look.

Another topical #littlecaroftheday 348 is an Impala decked out at a ground control safety car. This one came as a play set of 5-pack with other “Test Mission” vehicles including a box truck and a launch vehicle, which ended up being split between my brother and I.

Getting ready for the nicer weather with #littlecaroftheday 1497. This Beetle Cabrio has the classic hubcap style wheels and the light interior reminds me of the Triple White editions from previous generations. I get convertible envy this time of year, but for now this Matchbox will have to do.

#littlecaroftheday 1123 is one of the most unique and, in my opinion, beautiful Subarus to grace us with production, the SXV. This Matchbox rendition is slick in black with gold wheels and even has the iconic section windows rolled down. A truly wonderful machine and bonafide weird car royalty.

#littlecaroftheday 785 gives us some vintage go-anywhere action with this original Willys Jeep. If you haven’t before, I recommend looking up testing videos from the WWII era to see these little guys do some stunts that look downright physics-defying.

The red theme continues with #littlecaroftheday 598. This ‘67 GT500 has a very similar 1968 sibling cast as well. I have both, but like the ‘67 better because the nose is smaller and feels more proportional to the rest of the cast (& I like the twin center lights of the ‘67).

An art car for #littlecaroftheday number 1448 is a VW Squareback. This is a fun series and the cars have big letters on the roof that would spell “Hot Wheels” if you collect them all, but I tend t grab only the cars I like, so I just end up with a bunch of the same few letters and can’t spell much.

But I NEED a full size truck to haul all my Easter Eggs! A little joke for #littlecaroftheday 665 but to be fair, this cast is very big, (probably more proportional to some of the other cars) and doesn’t fit in the normal spaces of the clear organizer bins I use for the collection.

I’m of the opinion that all racing series should require some form of homologation so we get more cars like #littlecaroftheday 1020. This Mercedes CLK LM is about the furthest stretch of the terms “street-legal CLK”. I also think it’s funny how the DMV paperwork must look for something like this too

#littlecaroftheday 130 is this Bentley Continental. The Hot Wheels version of this W12 equipped coupe comes with appropriate “Faster Than Ever” wheels with low rolling resistance for top speed on orange highways. While I have been tempted by cheap listings IRL, this one is a lot less on maintenance.

#littlecaroftheday 430 is another high mileage car, as this 69 Charger has been around for years. This one has a separate hood that should open, but I believe an internal casting error has caused this one to be stuck. New versions are cast as one piece, and I have some of both in the collection.

Keeping it charged with #littlecaroftheday 1146 a Nissan Leaf Nismo RC. This racing EV is no joke, they actually built it to show off the potential of electric power. I think automakers should be building more fun stuff like this instead of making up renders just to insult us on days like today.

#littlecaroftheday 118 is the electrifying Audi RS e-tron GT. This pure white example has paint matched wheels and a fun plate reading “PLUG N GO”. This is one of several examples in my collection since debuting a few years ago and they make a fun and futuristic addition to my Quattro display.

Ascending the new week with #littlecaroftheday 1406, a Pikes Peak Celica. This classic cast originally debuted almost 30 years ago, but this release is a little newer from 2008. Reminds you of a time where Toyota made serious performance cars without needing to be propped up by other manufacturers.

A seasonal #littlecaroftheday 216 is a Chevy Pickup from the 2023 Easter series. This pastel and orange look would be right at home in a basket next to some eggs. I really like the angry bunny graphics, reminiscent of the Thrush mascot as well.

Still seeing red with #littlecaroftheday 450, a 71 Charger. While it seems like 68-70 model years get all the love for any muscle car, I think the 71 B-Bodies are some of the prettiest to come out of Detroit. The big, sweeping lines and smooth roof transitions add a real elegance for coupes this big

Feeling Beachy today for #littlecaroftheday 793 with this CJ7 surf rescue. I know they are not especially comfortable or very good by modern standards, but as an AMC sicko I do have an affection for old Jeeps as well. We also had one in the family that my dad and uncle drove (long before me though).

#littlecaroftheday 1027 is one I’m not sure I really “get”, the Mercedes GLE Coupe. A car for someone who wants something bigger than a sedan/wagon/hatchback, but simultaneously does not want/need the rear seat and cargo space of a normal crossover, I guess?

#littlecaroftheday 1246 is one of my favorite race cars, a Porsche 917. While the long tail and wide fenders might look big in pictures, these cars are bafflingly small in real life, something I learned when I got to see car 043 in the legendary ”hippy” colors at the Simeone Museum a few years ago.

Malaise Monday for #littlecaroftheday 310 with this Chevy Caprice. They just don’t make a personal luxury coupe like this anymore. While cars like these are sadly few and far between, I had the pleasure of seeing a slightly older, but similar spec one at a show a couple of years ago.
