Panel #1: A marker, ink, and paint pen cartoon of two fuzzy little monsters, white hairy creatures with round black eyes, sharp teeth, hands and feet, and antennae. The title at to top reads LITTLE MONSTERS!, with a label over the first word: TINY!. The monster on the left is sitting, smiling, relaxed, with their hands clasped over their stomach, and their feet out in front of them. The monster on the right is standing upright, with their hands spread out, fingers pointy, and feet in claws. The right monster is smiling with their sharp upper teeth showing. Both creatures are staring at the viewer with their black, bottomless round eyes. The caption under the left monster reads CUTE!. The caption under the right monster reads …NOT CUTE?. Their size is not apparent; the background is white, the ground is blue-grey.
Panel #2: A marker, ink, and paint pen cartoon of a tiny white fuzzy monster biting a human hand, their teeth embedded in, and body hanging, from the index finger. The caption reads SMALL, BUT VERY BITEY!. The human has a voice bubble, saying “AAAH! Ow.”. (This panel was inspired by an Eastern fence lizard that bit my finger, and held on when I opened my hand, hanging off my finger. Thankfully, Eastern fence lizards don’t have teeth.)
Panel #3: a marker, ink, and paint pen cartoon of a bunch of white fuzzy monsters grouped together, all smiling with sharp teeth, and staring at the viewer. Several of the ones in front have hands with pointy sharp fingers. One monster, far right front, is lying on their side, giving a thumbs up. The background is grey, darkening to black, in which many pairs of eyes can be seen. There are more monsters than you thought! The caption underneath reads DANGEROUS IN LARGE GROUPS… (Uh oh. We might be in trouble. Back away slowly.)
Panel #4: A marker, ink, and paint pen cartoon showing a tiny fuzzy monster on all four paws (hands and feet) on the left, staring at the viewer and smiling with their sharp pointy teeth, reaching out with one pointy hand towards a white cat about four times the size of the monster. The cat (on the right) is sitting loaf style with their rump to the monster, looking over their shoulder, and glaring at the monster (who does not appear to care). The caption underneath reads (MIGHT EAT CATS.). I doodled this little beast in my diary, which inspired the four-panel cartoon. The monster reaching for the cat looks to me exactly like a kid reaching for something they know they’re not allowed to touch, staring at their parent the whole time. >^…^<
