Double headstones for James and Henry Bass. Each side has a lamb engraved at the top, with inscription for each below: James Ogilby Born April 13, 1858 Died Oct 4, 1864 Henry Blake Born April 6, 1862 Died July 24, 1864 Final portion of inscription centered at bottom: Children of W. C. & A. O. Bass This double headstone is not upright. Instead, it's lying across its base and grave curbing. Behind the gravestone, you can see a portion of an iron fence.
Newspaper death notice: DIED, In Macon, Ga., on Sunday, July 24th, HENRY BLAKE, second son of Rev. W. C. and Mrs. A. O. BASS, aged 2 years, 8 months and 18 days.
Here is the #headstone for two grandsons of the aforementioned James B. Nickelson -- James Ogilby and Henry Blake, sons of Ann O. and Rev. William C. Bass. Both little boys died in 1864.
