Any #livescribe, #nuwapen, #moleskin, #remarkable users here?

I really want to stop having a laptop open in front of me during meetings. Alternatives? Ideas?

Jesse (@misc@mastodon.social) Livescribe has these new $50 "LivePens" that are more compact and seem intuitively maybe a little sturdier? It's tempting. Meanwhile the Neo Smartpen company seems to actually understand the importance of look and feel, with nicer stationery options and a pen with actual gel ink. But it sounds like their OCR is worse.

Got one, and it's all I wanted except one thing that pisses me off. The old ones did handwriting recognition offline, locally on the phone. Confirmed this by disconnecting wifi and cell data - still worked. New pen fails the same test. #livescribe https://mastodon.social/@misc/113725891904113608
