Journey home from work took a slight detour and Bob had to go in a green and yellow taxi ๐ #lovetheNHS
Taking a moment to thank the #NHS for amazing kindness - Mumโs been in hospital for a bit, and today I received a gorgeous Christmas card put together by ward staff with a fantastic photo of her looking sooo smiley and seasonal with an elf on her shoulder. #lovetheNHS ๐

Tuesday started badly in terms of mood, but got better as people came to the house, tea was drunk and blethers were had.
Very glad my arm was not hurt more badly. But pissed off it was hurt at all.
Typing one handed.

Saturday's good things ware not breaking my elbow, a short wait in A&E, and pain meds!
My arm is sore, and not very useful, but already feeling a bit better.

Random pic. Tho I hate a squint horizon!
A real lack of privacy and dignity for the patients and hard working conditions for the staff who, to a person, were providing an amazing public service.
Feelings of relief, but also anger that such a rich country *and its political class* treats its elders in this way.

My Dad had developed a nasty infection and has had to be admitted to hospital for a few days of treatment. Poor guy is fed up with hospitals as he spends most of his time there for various appointments and dialysis already. #GetWellSoonDad #PoorlyPigPapa #NHS #LoveTheNHS
for his staples and stitches to be removed, the first thing she did was ask ME how my trip was ๐คฃ AND the doctor who removed said staples and stitches was called... Mr Cumberbatch!!
A few years later at one of Bob's check-ups, he was seen by Mr Yates which was a moment for him โค๏ธ

A week ago right now I was under the knife. 6 days later I walked out of Colchester General with a stapled tummy and new plastic abdominal aorta, looking forward to the next 65 years. And nothing but fulsome praise for our NHS and its rainbow of wonderful staff. #lovetheNHS
Saw the surgeon yesterday, and the cancer will be cut out in either Sept, or early Oct

Can't remember whether I shared, but his liver is stable and some other things they were keeping an eye on have gone away. So he's good for another 6 months ๐๐ผ #lovetheNHS
Thank you written in big letters
Happy Birthday to our wonderful #NHS and all the amazing staff we interact we every day.
Thanks for all your hard work!

Here's a novel idea, make all MP's and the Royal Family use the NHS like the rest of us have to. That means queuing at A&E, and waiting two weeks for an appointment. How quickly would the NHS service improve then!

Yesterday I had my Spring Covid vaccination. Today I feel rough as a rough thing. Better than ending up on a ventilator, though. Iโll be fine by the weekend. #lovethenhs #nhs #covid
An example from me:
My son had surgery recently and the hospital staff were AMAZING
They do stressful, complicated jobs - but they found time to be kind and supportive to a frightened child ๐ #LovetheNHS
The trope of the public is losing trust in the NHS is all part of the devaluing program. First they get us to believe this lie, then they offer privatisation as a solution. Never trust this lie, privatisationโs only goal is to take even more money out of this country. #LoveTheNHS #NHS #SaveOurNHS
My first job in 1978 was working in an NHS pathology lab. I was so proud to be a part of such a fantastic institution. Seeing what it has become after 40 years of mismanagement and severe underfunding breaks my heart. #LoveTheNHS

This Valentineโs Day, we want to express our gratitude for the dedication of all our amazing NHS partners - we see first hand how the work they do makes a real difference and literally saves lives. As NHS employees, weโre proud to be a small part of the process.๐โค๏ธ #NHS #LoveTheNHS #ValentinesDay

T1 - appears to be developing a duplex kidney. How interesting.
T2 - is a bit smaller than his brother.
Both are small when compared to the singleton size guide, but they are following their respective growth lines so the sonographer is happy ๐๐

Small wins. Just enjoyed my first solid bowel movement in months after a serious bowel infection had me convinced that my cancer had returned. Out of hospital yesterday, recovering at home now. #LovetheNHS.

Waiting for elbow fix at St Thomases. After v poor comms til last night I have been impressed by the care the actual medical staff have taken to keep me in the loop both about my own treatment & what's happening generally. Now met 3 orthopedic surgeons all kind & communicative.
