M100 / NGC 4312 / NGC 4328 / NCG 4323 / IC 783 / UGC 7425 Galaxies - telescope processed image. M100 is a grand design spiral galaxy and one of the largest and brightest in the Virgo Cluster. Seen face-on, its prominent arms show intense star formation.
M100 / NGC 4312 / NGC 4328 / NCG 4323 / IC 783 / UGC 7425 Galaxies - unprocessed image. M100's primary neighbors are its satellite galaxies, NGC 4323 and NGC 4328. NGC 4323 is a small galaxy connected to M100 by a bridge of luminous matter, and NGC 4328 is a dwarf elliptical or lenticular galaxy. These interactions may influence M100's shape.
Thought I was only imaging the #M100 #Galaxy. As I am reviewing the image before this post, noticed there are 5 more galaxies that can be seen. Starting at the galaxy that seems to be at 45 degrees and going clockwise - #NGC4312 / #NGC4328 / #NCG4323 / #IC 78 […]
