The ink tube and spring from inside a ballpoint pen are being used as a lock on a reptile enclosure. Sorry, I can't describe it better!

MacGyver would be proud.
I took a part of ballpoint pen and used its insides to fashion a lock for my bearded dragon's enclosure door. The locking mechanism is broken so door was swinging wildly while moving the enclosure to a new home.
