EDITED BOOK COLLECTION: CALL FOR CHAPTER EOI MAKING ZINES: critical feminist methods & pedagogies This new edited collection seeks to explore the transformative potential of critical feminist praxis and collaboration, and the value of arts-based research and pedagogies, through showcasing cutting-edge international work on zine-making. From different standpoints within gender and cultural studies, education, social science, the arts and the humanities, chapters will widen debates on methodological and pedagogical approaches achieved by bringing zines into research and education. We are currently seeking expressions of interest for this edited collection. If you are interested in contributing a chapter to this proposed collection, please complete the EOI form with a bio, title and short (300 word) abstract. EOI form: https://shorturl.at/OtaYf EOI deadline: August 1, 2025 We seek contributions to current debates about zine-making as method and/or pedagogy including (but not limited to) feminist engagements with: • voice and authorship; • positionality and epistemology; • affect and emotion; • inclusion and belonging; • environmental and social justice; • collaboration and solidarity; • local issues and global contexts; • anti-colonial praxis; • critical and public pedagogy; • advocacy and activism; • DIY cultures and institutions. Each chapter will offer a unique perspective and practical strategies for utilising zine-making as a vehicle for critical inquiry, art education and/or creative expression. We envision a radical new collection of international work on feminist zine-making that is scholarly and creative in content and form. Support for translation in languages other than English will be available for some chapters for authors located in the Global South.
