A black and white comic page, featuring 8 panels.
Panel 1: a close up of a women wided eyed, a bright light creeps in from the left side of the panel. The narration says "I had always dreamed of being a hero".
Panel 2: The light comes in further. It reveals more of the woman, who tightly holds a child. The narration continues, "not for the praise or anything like that".
Panel 3: the light full envelopes the panel with a "FLASH".
Panel 4: a low shot where the women looks up to see a man shielded them, with small clouds of debris coming off his body. The narration continues, "I know it might sound a bit corny..."
Panel 5: The man looks over his shoulder, with a comforting smile on his face. The narration continues, "...but being a defender to people is really what makes me feel whole,".
Panel 6: a confused figure stares with a hand raised, the source of the attack of light. The narration continues, "A life like that can be so unforgiving. There are always people bent on causing trouble?".
Panel 7: a wide shot of a city street is shown, where the man stands firm. His hair raises on its ends, with a magical glow coming off his body. The mother and her child run off to safety. The narration continues, "why put myself through this? I've had plenty of people tell me that there are other heroes out there. I don't they understand that this has been my dream for a long time. It's all I ever wanted to do. And now...
Panel 8: a close in shot of the man's face, now with a stern determined expression. The narration finishes, "I think I can finally say I can do it. I can be a hero,"
This is more panels than I typically opt for in a page, but I wanted to test out a brush. I opted to take slight inspiration from Akira Toriyama's line work on DBZ. If I do this again, it may be more like my usual stuff.
