I got Back On My Bullshit™ and started a new playthrough of Hades on my switch. So I wore Mooncat’s “House of Hades” for #ManicureMonday this week. 💅
Feeling Sparks is a garnet red nail polish with multichrome magnetic pigments and iridescent/translucent orange flakes. The magnetic pigment is primarily yellow gold, but it shifts to green and teal in certain lighting. The effect is like a crackling campfire.
It’s #ManicureMonday, and I’m wearing Holo Taco’s “Feeling Sparks.” Yep.
Chemical X is a jelly flakie nail polish. The jelly base is black, and the flakies are in randomized colours and shapes. The effect is like the confetti dropped at midnight on NYE.
New Year’s Nails for this week’s #ManicureMonday. This is “Chemical X” from Mooncat’s Powerpuff Girls collection. If you’re looking for something similar, Holo Taco’s “Trick or Trash” has the same look.

Polish 1 is ILNP “Fir Coat,” a dark green shimmer. I normally crop the photo to just show my nails, but I wanted to show off how I accidentally matched it to my wedding ring (an alexandrite that shifts between purple, teal and green).
Polish 2 is Mooncat “Lord Vader,” a magnetic polish themed to the Star Wars ‘Dark Side.’ When magnetized, a ruby red base reveals a silver magnetic diagonal line. It actually looks like the traditional red/white striped combo of a candy cane, and not like an evil nail polish at all.

One of these polishes, despite its festive appearance, is Darth Vader-themed. Bonkers, right?

Play Rosé is a rose gold/pink champagne glitter holographic nail polish. The effect looks like a sunstone with rainbow sparkly glitter.
It’s weird to think of a nail polish that was released 3+ years ago as “old,” but that’s the cosmetics industry for ya. This week I wore “Play Rosé” by Holo Taco. Even my neutrals have to have some bling. #ManicureMonday 💅

This week’s #ManicureMonday 💅 is a polish I’ve worn before, but I consider Mooncat’s “Jewel Beetle” an absolute favourite. To jazz it up even more, I added a layer of Holo Taco’s linear holographic topcoat. It was so very blingy.

Manicure 1 is Mooncat "The Siren's Revenge," and Manicure 2 is ILNP "Interstellar," one of the first 'boutique' nail polishes I ever bought.
Photo of my nails. Disco Inferno is a firey reddish orange frosted metal nail polish (meaning that the formula is made up of tiny orange metallic shards) with some silver metallic shards mixed in. Frosted metal polishes are notoriously hard to photograph - IRL the polish reflects much more light.
#ManicureMonday: My spouse suggested orange for my next nail colour, so I chose Holo Taco’s “Disco Inferno,” a red-orange frosted metal with lots of bling. It was a challenge not to hum 🎶 BURRRRRN BABY BURN 🎶 every time I looked at my nails.
