Today’s #MarchMeetTheMaker2026 is Design Details.
Balancing how much shading a design has with how much confetti stitching it creates is an important part of my pattern design process. I want designs to look good, but also to be enjoyable to actually stitch!

Today’s prompt for #MarchMeetTheMaker2026 is ‘currently working on!’ Right now I’m designing some cross stitch scissor fobs, and putting together a tutorial to go with the patterns so people can turn their stitching into a finished scissor fob or key ring.

I make nature-inspired lino prints. I love nature, want to preserve it and also want to bring nature home with me through art. You can get a piece of nature-art for yourself through my shop, where I've just listed a couple of new prints!

I started out designing fairly generic patterns - nothing too loud or too political. It felt safe, but not like me.
I realised that I’d rather design things that matter to me, even if some people scroll past.
I’d rather have my people than please everyone!

I do tend to get distracted before finishing projects completely, but this time I finished it properly! No half-done 'I'll get round to that later' energy at all!
