This takes place after the comics, and the mercs have gone back to doing what they know: fighting over gravel. Sniper deals with the aftermath of losing his parents and grapples with his resurrection, and everyone re-adjusts to life on the base... again. Medic is content to let things return to the way they were before the team's disbanding, but finds himself troubled by the seepage of emotions into his once-exclusively-professional relationship with his greatest medical triumph. Just two mercenaries trying to figure out what to do with themselves and their feelings while navigating the dusty hellscape of Teufort, New Mexico. Positive team dynamics, no love triangles. Slow burn, mutual pining, lots of yearning. Themes of family trauma, the mortifying ordeal of being known, sexual repression and more! The mercs can be any gender/sexuality you want! Spy/Heavy is the other "canon ship". Takes liberties with bird facts and other things that I could spend hours researching on (but don't because I just do this for fun). Each part is like a story arc/"season", so it's important that they're read in order! All works are completed as of the first upload here and will update consistently every week so no dead fics!
