“The Rathalos is probably the most famous and most documented monster of the known world, and is the apex predator of the skies. Despite its bulkish body and heavy armor plating, the Rathalos has supreme aerial agility, allowing it to combat and hunt enemies and prey in the sky. Both sexes, the Rathalos and the Rathian have poison glands that secretes a lethal toxin that can weaken and slow down their prey. But unlike the Rathian, whose poison glands is located in its tail, the Rathalos has poison located in its talons. It allows the Rathalos to better subdue and poison its prey in the sky. Alongside that, the Rathalos and the Rathian has a specialized organ located in their throat called the flame sac, which allows the Raths to expel a highly explodable ball of fire. With all of these abilities alongside its supreme aerial agility, it is no wonder on why it is called the king of the skies.”
