Ziqi being a little insecure post-canon because, okay, yes, he's ready to meet Miaomiao again, and he's ready to tell her everything he wants to tell her!! But also he's not the cool, powerful half-demon Mu Sheng now. He's just some introverted guy who spends 90% of his time hunched over his laptop in his apartment. He's not strong. He can't protect her. He probably doesn't even work out (until recently he couldn't really work out much on account of his disability). But really he is such an idiot, because to Miaomiao, what he is in their world is someone maybe even better than the heavenly demon catcher. When Miaomiao couldn't remember anything about her life in the modern world, save tiny things she couldn't explain like the victory sign, she remembered Fu Zhou. She remembered it was her favorite author's pen name and how much his work meant to her. Ziqi doesn't have memories of his life in the modern world, except for items connected to Miaomiao; a glass pen that becomes a weapon, rabbit-shaped apples, and a bench swing he always wanted to share with her. Like Miaomiao is to Ziqi, Fu Zhou is to Miaomiao; a person who isn't just a writer she enjoys, but someone whose work is something she holds deeply enough in her heart that even magical amnesia can't erase her memory of him.
