New law is unlocking secrets of closed Minnesota adoptions More than 2,800 Minnesota adoptees have already requested copies of their original birth records. Very few are finding contact preferences from their birth parents.

Although Lisa Belknap's 'Birth Parent Contact Preference Form' said her birth mother wanted no contact, MN has no restrictions on her ability to have her OBC or to contact anyway if she wanted. Michigan should take note! #michiganadoptees #adopteesky #equality
