Red needle like crystals in KOH

Spot tests on a fragment of lichen. K+ yellow->red, C-, P+ yellow.

I believe these are the "red needle-like crystals" with forming norstictic acid in KOH. #lichen #microchemistry I have not found reference images for this though maybe @aspenecology.com can share his thoughts on this?

The lichen sample was K+ yellow slowly turning (brick)red.
