A drawing by J Kenneth Major, architect, extracted from the cover of a report he produced in Jan 1967. Corrugated iron, no fire escape, a dilapidated Weaver Room and a pier! #woodbridgetidemillmuseum #woodbridgetidemill #suffolkmuseums #woodbridgetowncouncil #millhistory

In 1792 the #woodbridgetidemill was purchased by John Cutting, coal merchant and farmer. A year later he pulled it down and the building we see today was built. This image was painted in 1770 and shows the Mill before it was rebuilt. #woodbridgetidemillmuseum #history #millhistory

A friend of the Mill found this contact print of the Mill in his father's effects, perhaps taken before he started national service in the late 1940s. Do you think you know the earliest photo of the Mill? Please post it. woodbridgetidemillmuseum #woodbridgetidemill #MillHistory

A waggon full of flour with a man driving 3 horses. 2 directly in front of the waggon and another in front of them. The name W Simmons is on the front of the waggon.

This is Mr Harper driving this waggon. I have written about him in my new book. He delivered flour for the Simmons Mill. This later became Snowis then after that Mothers Pride (just in case anyone remembers the names!) #LocalHistory #MillHistory
