changed the oil in the #mk4gti and that was a fuckin adventure >:3
the filter was stuck, I had the wrong filter wrench, I somehow got the wrong filter from ecs, and now I am sore and grumpy but at least the gti has fresh oil
I was going to do more but saw an air filter box screw was stripped and >:3
I reshelled the key for the #mk4gti because it was gross and now it is not :3
it has the exact key as the rabbit so it has a red vw logo and a gti plaid keychain
I forgot what a pain it was to get the transponder out, I cracked this one but it works and the new battery means it actually works

I took the #mk4gti in to get detailed and I am a little disappointed, but not with the detailer
they had to be very careful with some pieces because they're shedding dye, and I'm not sure if there's a solution other than replacement :3c
it took my stoned ass a solid six seconds to figure out what this was when I first opened it (it is the used shift knob/boot I am using the frame from so I can install a new boot on the #mk4gti)
oh and the #mk4gti is just so weird so I plan to catalog it before I do anything
I am assuming it is all gti mechanically but the options it does and doesn't have are odd
is it because it was made in the one year before the mk4 got a facelift in brazil :3c

at this point I am kind of surprised someone else didn't jump on the #mk4gti, it's been my daily and has been flawless
it feels like mk4 stuff is easier to find than mk5 but is more expensive

I have solved one mystery about the #mk4gti with a vw friend from ffxiv, why it's a 2006 (made in brazil) but there are still puzzles :3c
I'm not sure if I don't know mk4s yet or if it's an end-of-gen thing
regardless I love it and have started gathering supplies for some tender loving maintenance
