It’s special, popular in Lebanon & Egypt. Looks like spinach but tastes different

Served w/ rice, toasted bits of flat bread, red vinegar sauce

The plant is called in English “Jew’s mallow”! Corète in French

Christmas Eve dinner with my good neighbour and friend Janine’s family.
The amuse-bouche were pretty and delicious (with some cute mini-penguins) and main dish was mloukhieh with all the trimmings 😋
