Sketch of two small iron sculptures at the Celts exhibition at Moesgaard Museum, one of a boar and one of a stag rising.
#ArtAdventCalendar day 10, a wild boar, inspired by the Celts exhibition at #MoesgaardMuseum where there was also a beautiful stag rising sculpture in iron.
Today I was totally flashed by my visit to the Grauballe-Man in the Moesgaard Museum, Aarhus.

I spent the wekend in #Aarhus, including -a visit at #MoesgaardMuseum that offered this lovely view of the old manor:
A drone, its case and in the background a GNSS base station on a Sardinian mountain side.
An archaeologist surveys a ground control point using a GNSS receiver. They're on top of a robbed-out hut. In the background cork oak.
For something a bit different we're out surveying the Nuragic sanctuary at Matzanni in Sardinia with drone lidar.
We're part of the Augustinus Fonden supported Metals and Giants project.

A person on the right site of the picture is fotographing a bronze metal vessel (left site of picture) on a table under a window.
#FindsFriday on my knees! The beauty in the corner is the late #Bronzeage #amphora from Herzberg. A thin metal sheet #vessel with hump decoration. Looking forward to detect the #craft traces.

Grateful for a university library that offers access to all those resources that allow to write a thorough paper. And for library staff members who are endlessly patient and facilitating. #AarhusUniversity and #MoesgaardMuseum
Drawing of the clay disc. A large sun (labelled "3") with a smaller circle inside("2") is recognisable, to its lower right another small circle ("1") can be seen.
Following the interpretation on display in #MoesgaardMuseum, the disc supposedly shows the moon - first on its way to (1), and second in front (2) of the sun (3).
Some time later (probably only shortly after the #eclipse) the clay disc was buried at a nearby dolmen.
