Lovely little Italian twin, the Moto Guzzi V50.
A friend has just bought one as his retirement present to himself.

Silver motorcycle sitting in front of cut logs in a forest clearing
Silver motorcycle sitting in front of a vintage AA patrolman's box
My current steed, a Triumph Speedmaster 865. Basically a Triumph Bonneville in different factory trim to make it into a mini chopper. A radical departure from my usual tall "adventure" style bikes of recent years, but I thoroughly enjoy the different riding style.

Heavily modified BSA twin with white tank
Another view of the BSA
My friend Niall loves small British bikes. He’s had this BSA twin for over 30 years and constantly changes things. This is its latest incarnation after its winter rebuild.
If he ever told me what model it started out as I’ve long forgotten. It’s just “Niall’s Beezer”.

ETZ250 motorcycle and sidecar in yellow & black tiger stipe pattern on an area of grass with small flowers
The humble MZ ETZ250. A cheap two-stroke commuter bike built in the former East Germany. I must have covered thousands of miles on my ones.

Red motorcycle with Triumph on the tank and fairing lower and large letters TT on fairing middle
Triumph TT600 lightweight four-cylinder sports bike.
Didn't have it long. Short-lived attempt at recapturing my youth, but a trip to Ireland on it proved how uncomfortable and impractical it was for every day use. Fun, though 😁

Motorcycle and sidecar in military green
Dog wearing goggles sitting in a sidecar
Soviet-era Dnepr 650 sidecar outfit. Built in Ukraine.
Unwieldy as only a sidecar can be, but loads of fun and a bit hit with dogs of all shapes and sizes.

A pair of East German MZ TS250 motorcycles. One red with chrome tank panels, the other black with chrome panels.
A pair of lovingly restored MZ TS250s at a rally in Ireland. A very basic 250cc two-stroke commuter bike manufactured in Zschopau in the former DDR. I have owned somewhere in the region of a dozen of these fine little bikes.

Royal Enfield motorcycle with chrome tank, fishtail silencers and leather solo saddle.
I spotted this Royal Enfield Bullet in my local supermarket car park.
Nicely modified, I’m particularly taken with the engraved leather solo saddle.

Large white motorcycle with full fairing in front of a set of wooden doors
BMW R100 RS. I bought mine from an elderly gentleman who had taken good care of it and then proceeded to thrash it mercilessly for the next few years. Reliable, but dull. I eventually traded it for a racing two-stroke Suzuki.

Small red Honda motorcycle parked on a city street
My little Honda H100S. A bike that saw me through uni, and two different jobs in two different cities. It was used for commuting, for holidays and for going to m/c rallies. I even moved house on it. Twice!
