I understand my friend
It’s sad to hear
But Even melancholic
Moments of poetic prose
Would be better than politics
And arguing
and division into friends and foes
‘Bring back the poems’
I scream and I shout

Phantom Bite
Something bit me. I hope it’s a mosquito.
Or maybe the sting’s just in my head.
A phantom itch, a jolt incognito,
Tiny echoes of bothers, long since fled.
Either way, I’m itchy. I want to be in bed.
