I hate #mosspoles BUT the work. AND to work, they need to be kept moist. For me, especially on BIG #plants, that means hoses & MESSES. All my past attempts to water the pole from the top have failed but here's my latest DIY try. A tin can, an oversized hole, and a bit of sponge pushed into the hole.

A little early to be extending the poles by this much but I predict I will be very lazy in the winter months and will never get around to it then.
