If you have the garage space and capability; learn how to change the oil on your car
My wife drives a 2025 Mazda cx5. Discount oil change places charge around $100.
The oil and filter were $33, and I did it myself. It cost me 40 minutes but saved almost $70.
#mtgdadposts if you learn nothing from me, if you take no lesson from me but one, take this:
Learning how to repair is cheaper than replacing.
I looked into other options. Piezoelectric starters are what you have on propane torches, and at the click of a button give a spark without battery. Instead of getting a new grill, I’ll fix this mostly good one and have my gas grill ready for the summer!

A single piezoelectric igniter, wherein you push the button and a small spark hits at the other end. This stater is found in butane torches, and portable fuel tanks as a minimal-weight ignition system.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA
My Piezoelctric Igniters are in! Tomorrow! I RETROFIT THE GRILL WITH BATTERYLESS POWER
Also: before you go onto a road trip, you should inspect your spare tire for a few things:
1) Do you have access to it?
2) Do you have the tool to put it on your car (lug wrench)?
3) Is it properly inflated?
If the answer to any of those is no, consider getting that rectified. #MTGDadPosts
#MTGDadPosts is not about gender, or about age. dad vibes is not about how much you make, or what you drive, or even if you have a kid.
it's about helping out anyone who asks. it's about not knowing, but learning as you go along. it's about getting your hands dirty. it's about hard work.
#MTGDadPosts today isn’t a tip: it’s a project.
Today, I’m re-caulking the sink in our master bedroom.
