This koosh hall/ fiber optic toy resembling nudibranch is a Nanaimo dorid

They have been spotted from Alaska to California and get their name from the city in Canada where they were described.

Pretty sure none from my waterproof camera are in focus (wow I actually really suck with it), so here’s above water of a super cute #nanaimodorid from #pillarpoint yesterday. A really nice couple tried to find a Hopkins rose again to show us but no luck. Next time!
