Someone asked for some #NASCAR on this page, so here you go! Can't lie to you, I don't know much about NASCAR, so I just scrolled through last year's standings and picked out names I recognized! I'm hoping to learn more, and in the meantime, let me know how realistic this is!

Round of 16 Exits:
*Austin Dillon - How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, young man?
*Josh Berry - For about a month to start the year, it really felt like Berry would take the Wood Brothers to the next level. That was about 5 months ago, and now they're right back to the middle, although at least that's a good deal higher than they were the last three years!
*Alex Bowman - This one hurts, because I feel like if he put it together, he could have a deep run. But the momentum is just not there (I mean, he basically clinched a playoff spot from the couch by tenths of a second), which isn't great for him when his seat has been getting warmer every year.
*Austin Cindric - He's showing slow, but steady improvement year by year and could be a solid driver in a few seasons, assuming Penske gives him the time (although with his daddy having crashed and burned out of his job, that's no guarantee anymore). But he's just not at that point to pull out a deep run.

Round of 12 Exits:
*Joey Logano - I'm mainly just doing this out of caution. It's an odd-numbered year and there's no way his lackluster season goes any deeper than this mostly by default, but I ain't calling it until he finishes race 29, 32, or 35 below the cutline AND they've gotten post-race tech complete.
*Ross Chastain - The comeback in the was pure Melon Magic, one of the most thrilling moments of the year for my inner Chastain fan. But he's been practically invisible ever since, both in regard to high finishes and even his trademark Chastain-ness.
*Bubba Wallace - Practically the opposite of Chastain, Bubba seems to have gotten hotter since his own big win at the Brickyard. But with such a stacked (predicted) playoff field by this point, I just don't see him going much further from here, although it's still been a much-needed solid season for the #23 team.
*Tyler Reddick - It feels weird counting out Reddick so soon, but while he's been pretty good, he just hasn't been the same as he was last year, especially with no wins and not much in terms of momentum. (I mean, his playoff-clinching race wasn't exactly much prettier than Bowman's.) A part of me wants another deep 23XI run just to stick it to the bozos in charge of NASCAR basically trying to Curtis Turner the entire organization (like seriously, what the hell is even going on with that anymore), but more likely, Leigh Diffey in one year will go from yelling "Reddick's going to Phoenix!" to "Reddick's gone fishin'!"

Round of 8 Exits:
*Shane Van Gisbergen - Already perhaps the greatest road course merchant in NASCAR history, he has a good enough points cushion in the first round (not to mention not being as bad at the ovals as of late) that I can see him barely surviving to Round 2 and promptly smoking everyone again at the Charlotte Roval. But that's where the right turns end this year, and likely the same for SVG's playoff run. He could float by off Talladega since he's been weirdly adequate at superspeedways, but I feel like that just won't be enough to reach the end.
*Kyle Larson - Larson's famous for being on-and-off, but even by those standards, he's just been more off as of late since his nightmarish Memorial Eve. (Like I seriously can't tell which Double attempt was more painful.) I think he'll have enough in the tank to squeak into Round 3 (definitely at least Round 2 since he owns Bristol so much now lol), but will just not have it in him for Phoenix for the 3rd time in 4 years, as weird as that sounds.
*Chase Elliott - I know I said yesterday that a driver like Hemric in Trucks could "kill 'em with consistency" to make the Final 4, but the Cup level just doesn't have one driver winning everything to make that strategy work very well, and Elliott, while showing lots of top 5 speed all year, hasn't had much winning speed, and that could cost him in the end.

Round of 8 Exits (con't)
*Ryan Blaney - This may be my hottest take here, and the one I'd be the least surprised if I got wrong. Yes, Blaney has been red-hot going into the playoffs, and even when shit hit the fan at Vegas and Homestead in the past, he won at Martinsville to make the final 4 both of the last two years (one of which ended in a title and the other one almost ended in another). And he's won multiple times at Talladega before. But this has also been the most checkers-or-wreckers team of the entire season. He may have two wins, but so many more have slipped away in all sorts of dumb ways, and with how much can go wrong in three crazy races, I just can't help but wonder if Blaney's playoff fortune will finally be overcome by his regular-season pain. Again, I'm splitting hairs here, especially with basically 3 drivers in contention for my last 2 Championship 4 spots. But I just get the feeling somehow that Blaney's luck will go the other way sooner than later.

Championship 4:
*William Byron - While he took a while to win again after the Daytona 500, he clinched the Regular Season title a week early for a reason. Super consistent and able to turn it up when it matters, it would not be a shocker if he finally puts it all together this time. But if my (somewhat shaky) predictions actually work, then he'll have up to three other drivers on his tail hungry for their first titles.
*Christopher Bell - Bell's been pretty quiet since his three-race hot streak in February and March, but he's been one of the most clutch drivers these last few years, and even after being more or less robbed last year, I still feel like he's saving the best of his revenge tour for last.
*Denny Hamlin - I'm similarly unsure on this as I am with Blaney, but while I know they say this about Hamlin every year, this truly has been an extraordinary season for him in his twilight years.
