The National Spelling Bee isn't as "adventurous" (as I might put it) as before, but it still captivates me and makes me wonder how the contestants can pull off spelling very hard words.

I still followed the results on the official website and social media, but seeing it on TV would've been an awful experience due to constant showing of the commentators, frequent commercials, and loud music making it hard for us to hear the champion's victory speech.

Sadly, over the past 10 years, the National Spelling Bee started to become more "cool" by mentioning stuff like "spellebrities," "swag," and bringing up certain celebrities and popular figures more often than usual. So, the Bee became less thrilling for me.
