The remnants of what was once a tree. The stump looks like a wild beast of sorts, or perhaps a creature of folklore or imagination. It’s covered in lichen and the surrounding forest floor is lush and green with mosses and bilberry bushes.

Interesting ”creature” in the woods. One can understand how people’s imagination was running wild upon seeing stuff like this in the dark. Food for folklore!
