I've just got back home. 300 miles driving for a dentist. The state of NHS dentistry is really bad now, so many waiting lists closed. The silly thing is there are probably people now in Yorkshire driving up here for a dentist too.

There isn't an NHS Dentist in my town any more.
Like most of the population, it's pay up or be in pain.
This isn't what Labour promised.
Once again Labour is dumping those in most need.
Why wont they realise that Preventative treatment is cheaper than Emergency Services.

So I fall asleep watching tv in bed. Then @0250 wake & brain from nowhere realises that as I've to transition from #esa to #uc I'm going to have to do it after my #nhsdentist appt in May (just 9 days til the deadline) or else it will complicate my free treatment. Now of course @0325 I am wide awake!

Working in a clinical setting today a patient told me she had resorted to removing one of her teeth with pliers as she was unable to get an appointment to have them removed. Apparently unable to eat properly. I think this is deeply shocking and sad. 😕 #nhsdentist #unbelievablein2025

Yesterday I had a tooth out after 6wks failed attempts at root canal treatment.
With *6 injections* the pain during the extraction was off the scale - Dentist had to cut my tooth in half, to get the tooth and it's 3 roots out!
Note to UK Editors: How does anyone pull their own teeth out? #nhsdentist

Have spent my morning trying and failing to find an NHS Dentist for my mother who has toothache.
NHS 111 gave me numbers to call, unfortunately all of the surgeries only provide NHS treatments to children now.
This country is completely broken.
