A large grass fire has broken out east of San Jon, NM along Route 66. The fire has grown to 1,000 acres and threatening structures. Northeasterly winds are gusting up to 30 mph right now. #NMFire #NMwx

The Sago Fire on the Mescalero Apache Reservation grew to 250 acres. Firefighters worked through the night to build containment lines and suppress the fire. Temps dropped and humidity increased aiding in suppression efforts. No structures or communities are threatened. #NMFire
