For me, the #noarena movement in Philly gives me so much hope for collective action.

We won't let City Council sell out our city.
A chain of people in the #NoArena coalition erupted onto the City Council floor ahead of the final vote as banners drop from the balcony listing the names of every councilmember who voted to approve this in the committee vote last week.
Shame on Philadelphia City Council. Oportunists will use precedent to spearhead additional projects that spur rampant development increasing gentrification and displacement. Calls for my mother’s home will definitely increase in ‘25.
