A reminder that "Hot cars can kill. Even with the window down your pet can overheat in a matter of minutes."

A reminder that "Hot cars can kill. Even with the window down your pet can overheat in a matter of minutes."

I know I'm like a broken record, but the temperatures are going to soar (again) this weekend in Ontario.
PLEASE do NOT leave your pet in the car.
If you won't be able to bring your pet into the store with you, then please leave him in a cool area at home!!

Hot, humid and hazy conditions in Waterloo Region The heat and humidity continues in southern Ontario, but now a haze has also settled over parts of the province.

Hey gang, we've done the typical variations of Heat stories: how to stay cool, #nohotpets, signs of illness, etc.

Do you have any less common story angles about Southern Ontario heat that we could do?

Please message me with your ideas :)

Ooh crikey wot a scorcher this weekend! 🐶

Parked cars can quickly reach deadly temperatures, even on relatively mild days with the car parked in the shade and the windows open. If you can’t take your animal with you when you leave your car, leave them at home where they are safe. 🐾

🚨 Don’t Leave Pets in Hot Cars – Even for a Minute! 🚗☀️🐾 As summer temperatures rise, Helping Outside Animals wants to remind everyone about the serious danger of leaving animals in parked cars — even for just a few minutes. 🔥 How Hot is Too Hot? Even on a mild 75°F (24°C) day, the temperature inside a parked car can soar to over 100°F (38°C) in just 10 minutes. On hotter days, this happens even faster.

🐾At Helping Outside Animals, we believe every small act of awareness can prevent suffering.🚗☀️ Don’t let a moment of convenience become a life-threatening mistake. Let’s keep our pets safe, cool, and cared for this summer.
