(2/4) Snaizeholme Valley is one of the largest upland woodland creation projects in the #YorkshireDales, forming a part of the #WhiteRoseForest #NorthernForest. Its carefully planned tree planting is designed to boost #naturerecovery, and #climatechange mitigation benefits at a landscape scale.

Planting #trees in Nun Monkton today for my friend Adrian. This woodland will be part of the #NorthernForest with Birch, Oak, Cherry, Scots Pine and Hawthorn among the 450 trees.

The flagship site for teh #NorthernForest is Woodland Trust's Smithill Estate, Bolton. Much of which is blanket bog, the UK's main carbon store. Hopefully this will not be planted with trees.
