We need to do more to protect British Farmers 🐄 🇬🇧
Our farmers in #NorthSomerset have some of the best animal welfare and environmental standards in the world, yet too often, they are forced to compete against cheaper imports with lower standards, which would be illegal on a British farm.
I spoke in Parliament this week to stand up for the 2,281 households in #NorthSomerset who rely on heating oil.
Unlike those on the mains grid, these families are often more exposed to global price shocks.

I spoke in the Westminster Hall Debate on Royal Mail to discuss some of the issues #NorthSomerset has experienced with deliveries.
In response to the survey I launched in February, 87% of respondents said they had experienced postal delays with Royal Mail.
I'm relieved that the two pharmacies left without a provider following Jhoots' closure are now open to serve our community again.
I know this will be welcome news across #Portishead, and I wish Magna every success serving #NorthSomerset residents.
