3/12/2026 I learned something new today #nothemethursday #glutenfree #ididntknowwhatiwastalkingabout I have ranted for years about the gluten-free labeling on potatoes, eggs, milk, beans, fruit, nuts, and other products that do not have gluten in them naturally. It makes me go cross-eyed. Gluten is a protein in wheat, rye, barley, and triticale, which then shows up in foods such as cereal, noodles, pasta, bread, and so forth, so of course, potatoes, eggs, milk, etc.

I met her in 2013 when I submitted a manuscript to her and her business partner's publishing company. She and her partner retired the publishing company two years ago, and I still keep in touch with both of them. CP and I developed a close friendship despite having never met in person.
