The final child of Mitsuri and Obanai is Jaryu. He was a surprise, undetected and unexpected until his very difficult birth whilst Obanai was away. Despite expectations and the fear he gave the Butterfly Mansion, Jaryu is perfectly healthy, and remains a reminder to Obanai of his new life. Jaryu is the final shove to Obanai's retirement, only taking up teaching as the Corps grow.
Jaryu's final weapon and Breathing technique is a secret for now. Also do not worry for Hikona; she is a protective serpent and combat ready.

Every moment I’m awake I’m clinging on to hope At that point, Mitsuri was trying her best not to let tears fall, to keep them as contained as she could. She wasn’t getting stood up again, not like with that boy from back home, because Obanai might not be the most polite towards others but he had never acted like that when it came to her. (Sure, him not being the most polite towards others was something to work into fixing, but that was another topic for another day.) Still, her past experiences with rejection made her restless, even if she had just been waiting for what couldn’t be more than ten minutes now. Something must have happened. But-- what if what had happened was him changing his mind about her? “Kanroji-san,” Obanai’s voice called out, melting all her worries away in mere seconds. “I’m deeply sorry for being late.” There was a small bloodstain over one of his sleeves, so the reason came off as pretty obvious. “A lower rank demon was bothering some travelers.” Which was to say the whole ordeal had been nothing but plainly annoying to him. In terms of dealing with the demon, of course, even if people skills weren’t his strong suit. Besides, nothing else mattered now Obanai was finally there; now her tears were of joy, Mitsuri set them free.
