I had a good day of focus today at work.

Beef? Tender.
Vegetable ratio? Perfect. Not too much like I usually do.
Brothy, but not *too* brothy.

This is the sample ballot for the Democratic primary in May. There are seven candidates for governor alone. I have a lot of internet searches to make.

I printed one out so I can research candidates and whoo-boy, I’ve got a lot of work to do.

#OneGoodThing that happened this morning was that I figured out the jiggery-pokery for making my personal domain my handle on Bluesky! I went back and forth between which domain to use, but settled on the one that matched the handle I was using. I should probably update the domain now.

One amazing thing today: Four green! Integrity lands safely and everyone is healthy. A giant leap for science! Yes I’m crying. I love you Artemis II

One good thing today: spent the day trying to distract from despair. Made soup. Painted flowers. Walked with a friend. FaceTimed with my kid & my sister (which I rarely do). Reread a favorite book. Snuggled with my pets. All together it definitely helped keep my world anxiety calmer. #onegoodthing

One good thing today: spring is turning my yard into a beautiful meadow. My fish are hungry and happy and swimming around. Even when people (you know which people) are too awful to comprehend nature delivers hope. Best thing: the 2 new fluffy adorable eaglets #onegoodthing

This is my balcony. It is bordered by a low, beige-painted wall that I’m pretty much stuck with because I live in a condominium. The floor is mostly exposed concrete with the tattered remnants of a paint job in greenish blue, which was already falling apart when I moved in twenty years ago. Against one wall is a set of two off-white plastic chairs with a small matching table between them. Against another are two planters with freshly-combed dirt in them. To truly appreciate this picture, you have to understand what it looked beforehand. The concrete floor was buried under heaps of leaves that had been sitting there so long that the bottom layer had decomposed to dirt. The planters had previously been filled with leaves, weeds, and the corpse of a tomato plant. It’s not spotless, but it’s definitely much better than it was.

A bag of super delicious cinnamon raisin Michele’s Granola I bought myself for a special treat.

One good thing today: got myself a super special treat. My diet is pretty limited cuz of chronic illness. So to me cinnamon raisin gluten free granola is a rare delicious treat. It tasted and smelled so good and cinnamony. Really made my day. #onegoodthing
