Between 2022 and 2024, I worked with an e-commerce brand that sold sustainable linen clothing.

And one thing about them? They LOVED aesthetics.

Yesterday, I attended a virtual marketing event organized by a top Nigerian bank.

One of the organizers, the bank's Head of Marketing shared that she is a lawyer, but branched into marketing very early.

Hearing her say that gave me hope that I am on the right path.

Yesterday, I learnt a crucial lesson as a Christian in the workplace: honesty is important in the little things, even if it's hard.

It's an uncomfortable pill for me to swallow, but I am happy to take it.

Anyway, I missed a day(many days actually 😅), but I am still on my #onepostaday challenge.

For the past one week, I've had my head buried in legal docs (TGIF🥹).

Now, I want to write something that is not legal. Maybe an educative blog post that talks about a non-legal concept, or just pour out my heart into a short read (I have a Substack Newsletter btw).

When it comes to content, you don't have to always reinvent the wheel by creating a revolutionary content topic for each marketing channel.

You can turn one blog post into 5+ social media snippets, a video script, and an infographic.

You save time, effort and in some cases, money.

If you struggle to define your content, start with 3-5 core pillars.

Finally get the chance to come up for air after 1 (actually 3) work projects. 2 were law related and one was content marketing related.

I feel so satisfied and at peace.

But one thing I just don't like is how I can't maintain a stable online presence when work gets serious.

I know it's Monday, which usually comes with serious work talk.

But today, I'm grateful for God's mercy. The mercy He gives even when you don't deserve it. I get teary eyed when I think about it. I don't think I would be able to survive a minute without it.

About to start a very busy weekend, but two things I am looking forward to:

I just realized that one of the ways to grow better as someone in marketing (or in any other field) is recognizing where my strengths and weaknesses lie.

It's a hard pill to swallow, but it humbled me a lot😅.

Earlier today in church, the message of the Gospel of Grace was preached. And it was simply this:

That salvation is a gift given to us, not because of any special work we've done, but because of God's grace, love for us and His divine providence.

Ok, today was interesting. I stayed offline, did chores, watched a couple of movies/videos, read a book and took a nap.

But I missed one crucial thing: a time of communion with God.
