Okay so apparently it's #Caraversary2026. Hard to put my thoughts into words, mostly because it's been 2 years now that this platform got into motion and I still don't know what to make of it. We all know why and we understand. Cara is handled by a small team, with a small budget. Obviously in such a competitive and predatory online landscape, this puts you in an unfavourable position. On the other hand, it is this modest and simple approach that makes Cara's appeal. Yes I often forget it exists, yes I don't like white letters on a black background, yes I get almost zero interaction, so what? We live in an overstimulating world that actually impacts our capacity for long term memory, focus, and actually enjoying the moment. In this never ending influx, Cara is like a pocket of serenity, a much needed stop on the endless road. I've been online for way too long to hold any illusions that it would help me as an artist. I am a "real world" kinda guy through and through. The outside is where true connections are made. And that actually helps bringing back online activities to their right proportions, as something pleasantly inconsequential. Cara, I may neglect you but that's because you're not asking anything from me. In this day and age, it's a breath of fresh air. And for that, thank you.
