Eiji only ever knew how to defend with violence and physically lashing out at people bc he got stuck with bad habits and people when he rebelled while growing up... but Seiya wanted him to stop doing that, and usually put himself between Eiji and whoever he was getting in fights with. He didn't want Eiji to do something that would get him thrown in jail and leave Seiya all alone again. Eiji was used to being alone, but Seiya wasn't, and he was usually bullied by others for his parents' accident that killed them both (and caused a big mess in the middle of the city) so the thought of being left alone was the most terrible thing to him Having someone that needed Eiji around started to change his brain chemistry a little, and he became a little more "tame" (I use that word because the guys that bullied Seiya would also talk about Eiji being tamed into a docile pet, which usually bruised his ego and made him mad all over again-) He was trying to be what Seiya needed him to be... and then that one fight happened, and Eiji got injured, which made Seiya try to pull him away and instead Eiji knocked him backwards into the road by accident..... Eiji feeling like a failure, full of regret for so long... he wasn't made out to be the cause of Seiya's death and it was ruled an accidental death, but he never stopped thinking of himself as the one that made it happen that way, and every time he looks at his arm he remembers the feeling of Seiya grabbing at his arm to pull him away

Keiichi is the homeroom teacher for class 2-D, at Hirayama's Kokusai High School. He never talks about his personal life in class, so the students don't know much about what he's like outside of school. But one day, a student named Eri notices that his teacher has been seeming incredibly down, as if there's something weighing heavily on him, and goes to see if there's anything going on with his usually cheerful teacher... and finds out there's a man, Souji, that knows his teacher on a personal level, but won't say what their relationship is. Things will eventually come to light, but not without a push, and Keiichi's life will be exposed. - Seven years before that day... Hazuki Sena, a young man in his early 20s, is working as a model for the agency Horizons. The day he meets one of the new managers in his agency, the tension is already at a boiling point. It's the day he would lose himself, his confidence, and his Horizons career in the same fell swoop, throwing away his Hazuki Sena alias and becoming Hasegawa Keiichi once more. But he wouldn't be lost forever, and eventually Keiichi would find himself fallen for a man named Souji, during a confrontation with old peers from Horizons. And for years, his love and confidence would bloom the longer he stayed with Souji. Until Souji's work sends him to Tokyo on a year long project, and he disappears before he's supposed to return. Something happened in Tokyo, and it'll uncover things that happened within Horizons, as all of Keiichi's old peers and colleagues start to expose everything.
Several years before the events of Orehiki's Reiwa arc. Hasegawa Keiichi was once known as Hazuki Sena, a young adult in the fashion modelling scene. His career was cut short after a violent outburst with one of his agency directors led to a smear campaign against him, causing young Sena to quit and find himself a new start, disconnecting from the agency and throwing away his alias. From that point, Keiichi would work hard to become a teacher, and eventually find love in the process, with a man named Hidesaka Souji. Horizons, the agency that he once worked under, would prove to be a place that caused a lot of problems for more people than just Keiichi. His old friends and colleagues resurface in Tokyo during a year long planned project between Horizons and its sister agency WorldLine, and Souji ends up in the middle of everything with the resolve to vindicate Hazuki Sena's actions years ago. --- A side story from Orehiki: I'll Break Away From My Meaningless Life, that focuses on Keiichi's life before the main timeline, and the people he'd come to know from his past.
