It’s something I still can’t come to terms with. My lifelong, built-in best friend isn’t here anymore. I stare at his smile. I can feel his bone-crushing hugs through these pictures. Through my art and my platform, I continue to share my memories of him. I continue to share his story. I keep talking about his lasting impression on this world while he was living, and the impact he continues to have from beyond. Our family is coordinating his one-year anniversary to be a rock painting event to raise awareness to the importance of organ donation. If you’re not a registered organ donor already, please consider doing so. For Zachary, he has continued to live on and SAVE LIVES through the donation of his liver, kidneys, heart valves, nerves, and connective tissue. We miss him forever and always…but he is also a HERO.
