A herd of Megacerops, Merycoidodon, Mesohippus and Leptomeryx drink from a watering hole during a dry spell. Subhyracodon wallow in the mud, and an Alligator stalks the Mesohippus, who flee at its approach. After the cooling trend began, Eocene forests and jungles made way for subtropical savannahs and plains, allowing for the expansion of grasslands in the Miocene. We haven't quite reached this point in time just yet, but this dust storm is just the beginning of a climate trend that'll drag on for millions of years.

A TV news reporter interviews a woman named Katie, who is holding the handle of her grocery cart with her right hand, and an energy drink can with her left. The view focuses on Katie, with the reporter out of view except for her arm, pointing her microphone in Katie's direction.
