He tells an amusing story about one such trip. A fellow airline pas- senger asked him why he was drinking hot tea in the middle of the summer. Matsumoto, who wanted to say that it was because his stomach felt tired and queasy, said "My skull is tired." The man next to him grabbed his stomach and keeled over laugh- ing.
