The Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ cowrote a comprehensive sex ed curriculum called Our Whole Lives. There IS a religion out there that not only doesn’t object to their kids being given that info, but wrote a curriculum for it. #OurWholeLives

Facilitating #OurWholeLives in the late aughts and early teens gave me me an opportunity to hear from trans people in person and learn more about more complex understandings of gender.

Current events have me down a lot lately. But I do have a very bright spot in my life.
Finally, after many years of wanting to do so, I’m finally going to teach sexuality education to youth. Starts Sunday 3/9! I am also certified for 4-6, and 7-9 and 10-12.

Takeaway from the grade 4-5 sex ed #OurWholeLives workshop I facilitated yesterday: when you go through puberty, you sweat more, which can make you smelly (so maybe wear deodorant and shower regularly)
