A Long-Eared Owl peers from within a bower of twigs and branches, well-hidden from casual glances. Its ear tufts are long, making the bird's face resemble a cat's, hence it is nicknamed cat owl. Its eyes are bright yellow and its feather patterns in rusty orange, white, brown, and black make it blend perfectly with tree branches, twigs, and late Autumn foliage surrounding it.
