"Is there something in us which is drawn to doing the forbidden? Of course, or the story of Adam and Eve getting themselves booted out of the Garden of Eden wouldn't resonate as it does."

How cool is this?! 🏺 #PandorasJar
I finished #pandorasjar today & - never happened before but - I was really struck by @nataliehaynes.bsky.social Acknowledgements. Her credit and praises (in her own voice, bc audio) struck me as so heartfelt. It gave one of those small feel good moments abt people & the world that are so needed rn.
So here I am with my brain starting to want to do things again so here I am reading again, #pandorasjar.
@nataliehaynes.bsky.social is pretty infallible but my only question is in her chapter about Penelope…
As for #PandorasJar, I’ve just learned Gorgon heads (seem to) predate the Greek myths. As in they were stone carved heads found around the landscape - emphasis on HEADS. No body. So there’s a theory that the story of Perseus was made up to explain why the heads were separate from the body. #classics
