Paperwhite Daffodils, Narcissus papyraceus, growing up and flowering through the foliage of Point Sal Purple Sage, Salvia leucophylla 'Point Sal' The daffodil has upright, slender leaves common of bulb plants, and the sage forms a tiny shrub just a few hand spans tall with soft, almost plush, fuzzy green leaves and no visible flowers. Paperwhite daffodils showcase white star-like flowers with a yellow center which is cupped in modified petals characteristic of daffodils.

One of the dearest of my favorite genus with one of my mother's favorite plants: sages and daffodils! Here's California Purple Sage and Paperwhite Daffodils growing happily after a late winter storm.
