Back in ’43, the #Paricutin #volcano in #Michoacan totally swallowed the town of Parangaricutiro. The only thing that survived the lava was the church tower, peeking out while evrythng else vanished. The eruption went on 4 nine yrs, making 1 of the youngest volcanoes on the 🌎.
