Director Fielder Cook made some wonderful TV movies - AFTER Motion picture business gave him craptacular scripts like PRUDENCE AND THE PILL (which was passed over to another director). "The Homecoming" is one of five Emmy nominations he received for TV movies. He had a gentle hand here. #PastTimeTea

I don't know if Josephine Hutchinson (Mamie) wrote an autobiography, unfortunately. She started in a silent film, was Eva LaGallienne's lover in '20s, later married Staats Cotsworth, radio star. She worked with Hitchcock and with Paul Muni. This woman undoubtedly had some stories! #PastTimeTea
I'd like to read Dorothy Stickney's (Emily) autobio. The sisters were recast for the series. These ladies were real troupers - summer stock, B'way, TV, you name it! Stickney originated the role of Mollie in THE FRONT PAGE and I think also Vinnie in LIFE WITH FATHER, lived to be 101... #PastTimeTea

Rocky Ridge Farm (Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote Little House books there), in Mansfield, MO.
I did get to the edge of the old property where Wilder wrote the books, I was an hour away in Missouri doing a radio production workshop and twice I rushed after rehearsals to see if I could get there in time for a tour. No dice but gives you a sense how remote she liked it! #PastTimeTea
In the same boat, pretty sure I watched almost all of LH between first-run in the '80s and reruns, but have forgotten much of it. I want to read "Prairie Fires", the Pulitzer winning book about LI Wilder. She sounds more complex than some fans want her to be, like Margaret Mitchell... #PastTimeTea
